Coming Home

In Miami waiting for our flight to Indy. We get in there at midnight. Home will feel good, but we have so sobs many great memories for our trip. We stopped at House of Light, an orphanage for severely disabled children. There are 40 precious children- only 3 are ambulatory. This place is incredible. The children are well cared for and well loved. We really loved playing with them and loving on them.  Arrived in Indy at 12:30 after a long, but safe travel day. Feels good to be 🎶 back home again in Indiana. Looking forward to our own beds, warm showers, ice and flushing toilet paper. We are coming home changed by the people we met and the team members of Nurses on a Mission 2026! Be blessed!

Home visits and God visits

Wow!! Finding words for today is hard! We did home visits in a beautiful community. The ride in was interesting- actually scary! The families were so so sweet and God was so so big!! The team worked so well and we were welcomed into the homes of people who now have a piece of our hearts.  We had our final reflection tonight- we laughed and shed som tears. It was amazing!! The Foundation for Peace staff sang in Spanish “ Friends are Friends Forever if the Lord is Lord of them! Then true worship  broke out and still continues- we know it was a sweet aroma to our big, big God!! Wow!!  Tomorrow we will head home, but all of us will leave a piece of our hearts in the DR. We have all been forever changed by our time in the DR!

A Day of Relaxation

Today our team got to take a day to relax at the beach. We swam in the ocean, played beach volleyball, collected shells, ate, and relaxed. We came back to the house sandy, tired and a little red (some more than a little). It was a nice break and we were reminded of our creative God! Seeing and hearing the waves was a blessing.  We are excited to see what God has in store for us tomorrow. We will be doing home health visits. Welcoming us into their homes is a humbling experience and something that we don’t take lightly. We want to show the love of Jesus and to not only be healthcare givers, but we want to be hope- givers. Please pray that God will give us the strength to finish strong! Come back tomorrow to learn about our day!

Clinic Day #2

We went to our 2nd clinic today. It was in a wonderful community- saw people of all ages. The team was great. It poured down rain, but our spirits weren’t dampened. We continue to be blessed by the people of the DR. Tomorrow we go to the beach.

A beautiful day!

After a good night’s sleep we made our way ( theses bus drivers are amazing) to a community full of beautiful people! They were so warm and welcoming! We had a great 1st day. Everyone worked hard, got hot and served with joy. God really put together an incredible team. We got back to our house and took some cold showers- actually felt good. It poured down rain here today and there was lots of mud (reminded us of home) We will head to another community tomorrow. Come back and check on us!

We are back!!

We met at the airport in Indianapolis at 3 am!! It has been a long day- but a good one. Our flights went well and we arrived at our destination. We were greeted by old and new friends. We had a great meal, filled some med bags and got supplies. Today has been a blessing and we look forward to our clinic tomorrow. God has been so so good to this team! Thank you for your prayers and support. Will try to post pictures tomorrow. Good night!
